John Norman, one of Britain’s pre-eminent organ advisers, including for the Diocese of London and for the full restoration at St John’s Notting Hill, will give a 30 minute talk about the restoration and the history of the church’s historic, Grade II* listed organ.
This will be followed by a 30 minute recital given by St John’s Organ Scholar, Sam Barber, showing the range and style of this 222 year-old instrument.
Both events are high quality and should not be missed.
The organ restoration was funded by donations from many groups and individuals, including a £373,500 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. This has paid for a series of community activities focused on the restored organ.
